Discussion panel: Baltic startup ecosystem
On TechChill Day Two on the Highway stage, on the last part of the day we’ll turn to the Baltics, starting with the panel discussion “In the Baltic Tiger’s Den: What’s cooking in the Baltic ecosystems?”. The panel will be moderated by Daniels Pavļuts, former Minister of Economics and Board Member of Latvian Startup association Startin.lv and will feature such panelists as Ernests Štāls, co-founder and CEO at Dripit.io from Latvia, Karoli Hindriks, founder and CEO at Jobbatical.com from Estonia and Donatas Keras, Founder at Practica Capital from Lithuania.
The discussion will dive into an overview of Riga Venture Summit happening the day before, where regional startup founders, policy makers, investors and activists will have met to discuss the hottest startup related topics – attraction of smart capital and startup talent to the Baltic region. The Baltics have always been a bridge between East and West, providing great trading benefits and cultural diversity for both foreigners and locals. And by developing strong cooperation, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have all the necessary preconditions to grow into the big next Startup Hub region, on par with such mastodons as London, Dublin, Helsinki and Berlin.
Riga Venture Summit is an international startup ecosystem policy roundtable with a focus on the Baltic startup ecosystem development. On February 9, 2017 Riga Venture Summit 2017 will bring leading Baltic startup minds and a host of international experts to zoom in on most effective policies to drive pipeline of competitive early stage startups and attracting global flows of smart money to the Baltics. The two main topics and smart cities — competing for global smart capital and global attention and attracting startup talent to the Baltics. The Summit is organized by the Latvian Startup Association together with regional partners Startup Estonia and Enterprise Lithuania. The event is open to Investor/Executive Pass holders.
