SprayPrinter Takes The Top Prize At TechChill
The Baltic tech event brings together 1100 attendees from 26 countries
The team of Sprayprinter (Tartu, Estonia) beat out four other teams at the TechChill Pitch Battle to take the top prize – a paid trip to Silicon Valley, with a full agenda and meetings with selected investors and free stay at Startup Embassy, the oldest entrepreneurial residence located in Palo Alto.
SprayPrinter is the world’s first wireless free movement printer, a smart handprinter that works with spray paint and is controlled with a smartphone. You move the printer with your own free hand or attach it to a wall climbing robot. Delivering images from a computer to any surface at any scale is very expensive, ecologically non sustainable and includes a lot of hustle, but SprayPrinter offers a core technology that enables free movement printing at any scale.
During the TechChill Pitch Academy hosted by Startup Wise Guys as well as Startup Sauna, 10 startups received advice and mentorship from leading experts. The 9 other teams were CEnOS platform (Latvia), integration platform for engineering software, WhatTheBus (Estonia), a smart marketplace for bus rentals, WiDE – We Improve Device Experience (Latvia), mass customization software for making 3D printable prosthesis and orthosis, VIVIDLY (Latvia), bringing VR to architects in easy, accessible way, AppFollow (Finland), real-time reviews & updates monitor for App Store & Google Play, bNesis (United States), allows to rapidly integrate any app with multiple cloud services, 3D Creationist (3DC) (Estonia), the easiest 3D modeling app for mobile devices, Finch.io (Latvia), making web designers twice as effective, Tebo (Estonia), teachers’ network for sharing.
The Baltic tech event TechChill closed with a band today, gathering 1100 attendees from 26 countries during 3 days of events. The agenda focused on The Bulding Blocks of Entrepreneurship, The Human Side of Tech and Trending Industries, with 56 global startup founders, entrepreneurs and tech experts on stage sharing inspiration and knowledge. Among the attendees were more than 200 startups from across the world, who met with 60 investors for more than 300 individual meetings.
