For two chilly days in February 9-10, an energetic crowd of founders, entrepreneurs and techies from across the region will gather in Riga for the most exciting startup event in the Baltics.

TechChill has grown from a small meetup of like-minded geeks to a regional meeting place of promising ideas and meaningful connections, with the air of the party like nowhere else in the world.

This year’s agenda will focus on the experiences and insights at the core of startup life, the Human Side of Tech, with speakers that range from promising startups with passionate ideas to experienced entrepreneurs. With one thousand participants and several side events, we stay just the right size to bring everyone together.

The Baltics are a great place to do business, full of talent and global ambition from within and beyond the region. Riga is booming with young people with great ideas, good infrastructure and life quality, one of the fastest internet speeds in the world and easy access to any capital in Europe.

The region has historically been a crosspoint of the East and the West, and the trend continues now. Latvia’s ecosystem provides an unparalleled mix of reasonable startup costs, access to international entrepreneurial talent and capital, startup-friendly regulation and excellent geographical connections.

TechChill is the best way to get your first look at the Baltics!

TechChill is the main annual startup meeting place in Riga that has grown from a few hundred techies in Riga to a two-day event bringing people together from the startup community.

It all started with TechCrunch Baltics in 2012, organized by TechHub Riga in partnership with TechCrunch, and probably the first big startup event in Latvia. The meetup was a big success, possibly on the account of the free beer, and it went on to become a standalone annual event.

TechChill is organized by TechHub Riga, a non-profit NGO founded in 2012 with the aim to help local young entrepreneurs improve and become more competitive. It is a platform that helps technology startups grow their professional networks and develop their ideas faster and more effectively.

TechHub Riga organizes regular events on technology and entrepreneurship, including TechChill, TechHub Monthly Meetups and TechHub Startup Academy. TechHub Riga co-working space currently hosts around 30 startups and tech professionals. With a network of several hundred alumni, TechHub Riga is one of the largest technology co-working spaces in the Baltics. TechHub Riga alumni include the most successful Latvian startups, such as, FROONT, Edurio, Sellfy, Monea, Fullcontact and more.
