Consider this your lucky day: the official deadline for your chance to pitch at TechChill has just been extended! With still so many regions to cover and so many startups to shine a light on – we wanted to give more founders an opportunity to start the year off right and make their mark on the startup world. Consider this our New Year’s resolution. But keep in mind, you only have 7 days to apply!
So here is everything you need to know to increase your odds of getting in front of an audience of 2000+ attendees, international VC’s, business angels, accelerators, media and of course, the official jury for a chance to compete for an a 10 000 EUR cash prize and a chance to pitch at the Startup World Cup finals in San Francisco.

All early-stage startups (up to 100k funding). No country restrictions.

Pitching at Silicon Vikings Startup World Cup finals: The winning startup will compete against winners of regional competitions from all over the world on May 17, 2019 in San Francisco for a $1 million investment prize. In addition, all European Startup World Cup Finalists will get the opportunity to pitch at the European Continental Finale in Prague for a 500,000 Euro investment prize.
Invitation to Founders Day & TNW 2019 brought to you by Adyen and TNW: The Founders day is an exclusive gathering bringing together the founders of the Tech5 (class of 2019), accompanied by Tech5 alumni, global press, and top-tier investors. Founders Day 2019 will be hosted in Amsterdam on May 8th. Additionally, the winner will get free access to TNW 2019 the days after Founders Day.
Amazon Web Services provide access to AWS credits (500$) for all fifty semi-finalists.
But don’t be mistaken, this is not the winner takes it all kind of arrangement. The moment you are one of the fifty, prepare for things to happen.
How are the startups chosen?
Each startup will go through a rigorous selection process where a dedicated evaluation jury will review their applications and make selections based on the most relevant industry verticals: Fintech, SaaS, IoT & Hardware, Deeptech & Impact. Ten startups per vertical will be chosen to compete at the semifinals, making a grand total of fifty startups.

Who is evaluating the applications?
All Fifty Founders battle applications will be evaluated by a jury of investors and representatives from the startup ecosystem – and it is them, that will pick fifty most promising startups to pitch their ideas on stage:

When do the semifinals and finals of the Fifty Founders battle take place?
The Semifinals and Finals will be held at TechChill 2019, where on day one – February 21, selected startups will deliver a 3 min pitch on the Founders stage. Five startups will be then chosen to pitch on Superhero stage on day two, one of which will be announced as the winner of the Fifty Founders battle winning 10 000 EUR main prize. The same startup or the other ones will then be awarded other partner prizes.
