What’s the deal?

As the largest bank of the Baltics, Swedbank Latvia is an important influencer of the region’s economic development. Maintaining the forward-thinking attitude, we have teamed up to strengthen the future Startup Ecosystem, by addressing the new generation of founders. Gathering people from all countries, backgrounds and interests with no exceptions, we encourage students becoming a part of the ecosystem itself by holding the Student Challenge and giving out 100 free full-access Event Passes for TechChill’18.

Two days full of inspiring keynotes and networking events as that final push to found yourself and dive into the tech possibilities. Moreover, it has never been easier to meet your future employer or partner, in fact, there’s going to be around 2000 of possible allies attending! You are just two steps away from being selected as one of the 100!

What to do?

Choose one of two tasks – a pitch deck challenge or a computing challenge, depending on the one that suits your interests and abilities the best. The pitch deck means you’ll need to create a startup idea and explain it in on one page – the idea can be serious, or it can be completely crazy and fun – all that matters is that you follow the format! The computing challenge is a programming test for 1st/2nd year developers.

Complete the challenge and upload your pitch deck OR your computing test answer file, along with the APPLICATION FORM anytime between October 9 and January 22. All the applications will be reviewed by the hosts, who will also determine the lucky 100. Afterwards, you’ll receive a confirmation and your free pass.

there’s always a couple of rules

 there’s always a couple

 there’s always a coupleles

  1. Deadline for applications is January 22 (incl.), 2018.
  2. Challenges are meant for individuals, not teams. One application per person. Student Passes are personalized and are non-transferable.
  3. All students with a valid Student ID up to 25 years old can apply, both full and part-time. Proof of student status will be required upon receiving the Student Pass. Students from any country in the world can apply.
  4. Applicants privacy is guaranteed; none of the applications will be made public, but will only be accessed and seen by the challenge judges from Swedbank Latvia and TechChill.
