Fifty Founders Battle winner Longenesis among the 100 best startups in the Entrepreneurship World Cu

The digital health startup Longenesis is one of 100 startups worldwide that has made it into the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) finals. The Longenesis team won TechChill’s Fifty Founders Battle in 2021. The digital health startup Longenesis offers a platform for biomedical organisations to speed up clinical trials. It does this by providing direct communication with biomedical research organisations for the secure processing and use of data for research purposes. Longenesis enables doctors and scientists, in collaboration with patient organisations, to make themselves more visible to a wider audience, and to find collaborators and research funders for developing new treatments against disease. The startup has raised around 2 million euros in investments to date.

In 2022, Longenesis won an investment from .Cocoon Ventures at the Startup Day conference in Tartu, Estonia. In 2021, Longenesis won the FFB competition at the TechChill. “Our team got two fundamental benefits with the participation in Fifty Founders Battle organized by TechChill. The first one was the opportunity to validate our value proposition with a wide range of ecosystem experts. The second one was the visibility we had that later helped in talks with investors,” says Sergejs Jakimovs, CEO of the company Longenesis. A couple of months after Longenesis closed a 1 million euro funding round. So here comes the next challenge.

The Entrepreneurship World Cup is one of the biggest and most diverse startup pitch competitions and support programs of its kind. Since launching in 2019, the EWC has awarded $3 million in cash prizes, and $150 million in in-kind prizes and provided opportunities for entrepreneurs at all levels – from the idea stage to scale-up – to reach the next stage in their journey by providing them with free access to world-class training and resources, enhancing their visibility, and working to connect them to mentors and investors.

To get among the top 100 in EWC means competing with around 30,000 companies. Longenesis will take part in the Global Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 10 to 12 March. So let’s keep our fingers crossed for the Longenesis team! And you will definitely have the opportunity to meet them in TechChill this year.
