Apply for Fifty Founders Battle: Winner takes home 200K EUR syndicate investment

Applications are open for TechChill's Fiffy Founders Battle pitch competition, where the winning startup will have the chance to win a 200,000 EUR syndicate investment led by BADideas.fund and DEPO Ventures, and 10,000 EUR, no strings attached. Winners will be announced at TechChill, which will be held in Riga, Latvia, on April 17-19, 2024.

Startups from across Europe and beyond are invited to apply until March 4th. Fifty semi-finalists will be selected and invited to pitch onstage at TechChill in front of 2000+ attendees, 200+ investors, and 50+ media representatives.

BADideas.fund and DEPO Ventures will be providing winners with a chance to receive 200,000 EUR in syndicate investment, as well as practical support to the winning startup:

“On top of supporting one stellar team with a syndicated investment opportunity of up to EUR 200K with other investment partners, we're doubling down on our ambition to elevate the entire ecosystem. This means hands-on coaching, 1-1 feedback on fundraising strategy, and sharing best practices from our 200+ large community. As part of the evaluation process, we'll tap into our vast investor network so that each applicant can get valuable feedback on the team caliber, market potential, product maturity, and distribution maturity.”

The Fifty Founders Battle is the flagship event's annual pitch battle, open to early-stage startups that have not received more than 250,000 EUR in equity funding, and usually are less than 3 years old. The battle is industry-agnostic – all startups from peaceful countries are welcome to participate and can apply HERE

The Fifty Founders Battle is an opportunity for early-stage startups to gain significant exposure, pitching experience, and an opportunity for game-changing support through the various prizes. Last year's syndicate investment prize winner, Mindaugas Kežionis, CEO & co-founder at Sign on tab, shares his experience:

"I'm always hesitant about events like these, but Techchill proved me wrong. Pitching on stage was a great opportunity to put our vision, traction, and story to the test, and see how it lands with an international investor audience. As with all hard things, they only seem hard at the time, and it was totally worth it. Thanks to the award, we now have BADideas.fund and DEPO Ventures on our cap table which fuels our growth not only through the capital, but also genuinely helpful advice and support."

This year's event will place a focus on three main themes:

  • Frontier Technologies, including AI, cybersecurity, defence tech, energy, climate, and space tech)

  • Startup Foundations, such as founder stories and hard skills and a survival guide for startups

  • New Rules for Navigating the New Normal, empowering diversity, new metrics for success, the impact of economics on different regions, and the Baltic landscape.

The main event, held on April 18-19th, will be preceded by a side-events day on the 17th, which will be free for anyone to attend. Tickets here: https://www.techchill.co/get-pass
